There is the Historic Turner Mansion and the Marian West and William Blanton Plantations. Space lovers will also enjoy their trip here as it’s where the Marian Blakemore Planetarium is. The planetarium hosts one of the world’s only Spitz SciDome HD Star Projectors, making for sharp, crystal-clear projections of the solar system. Visitors can attend star talks to learn more about the galaxy. 

5. Susie’s South Forty Confections Candy Factory

There are probably not many more fun things to do in Texas than visiting a candy factory. Susie’s South Forty began business in 1991 and has grown to an enormous factory and retail store. You and the family can stop by the 40-acre Midland establishment for a sweet treat or to visit the Guinness World Record’s biggest piece of toffee.
