Hadith about Sabar and virtue

There is no loss for those who are patient in facing all kinds of trials life from Allah SWT. On the other hand, Allah SWT has promised various things for those who are able to be patient in facing life’s difficulties.

Here are the hadiths and their virtues if we keep Sabar in any situation.

Patience allows us to meet the Prophet Muhammad

From Usaid bin Hudlair radiallahu anhum; there was someone from among the Ansar who said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, shouldn’t he have hired me as he had employed so and so?’ individualists, egoism, people who are selfish). So be patient until you meet me at the lake of al-Haudl (in heaven). (Narrated by Bukhari)

Being patient can get heaven’s reward

From Abu Hurairah that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said: ‘Allah Ta’ala said: There is no suitable reward with Me for My believing servant, if I take the life of the person he loves in this world. Then he is willing and be patient except heaven.’ (Narrated by Bukhari)

Sabar prevents us from doing evil

From Ibn Abbas radiallahu anhuma when the verse was revealed: ‘If there are twenty people who are patient among you, surely they will be able to defeat two hundred enemies. And if there are a hundred people who are patient among you. Then surely they will be able to defeat a thousand of disbelievers (Surat al-Anfal: 65) So it is obligatory on them that no one escapes from ten people.

Abu Sufyan repeatedly said: ‘Let no one run away twenty of the two hundred.’ Then the verse came down: ‘Now Allah has made it easy for you.’ (Al Anfal: 66). So it is obligatory not to let anyone run away as many as a hundred people out of two hundred people. Sufyan also added; a verse has been revealed; ‘O Prophet, ignite the spirit of the believers to fight. If there are twenty people who are patient among you…’ (Al Anfal: 65).

Allah SWT promises good rewards for His patient servants

The Prophet SAW said: ‘When a calamity happens to a servant, whether on his body, his property or his child and then he faces it with good patience. Then Allah spread the good deed book of that person.

Get taufiq from Allah SWT

The Prophet SAW said: ‘There are four kinds of patience: patience in carrying out fardhu, patience in dealing with calamities, patience in dealing with human disturbances and patience in poverty. Human interference is love and patience in poverty is the pleasure of Allah ta’ala.”

With Sabar we will get something better from the whole world

The Prophet SAW said: ‘Patience for a moment is better than the world in its entirety.'”

Patience is a form of our gratitude to Allah SWT

The Prophet SAW said: ‘Allah ta’ala revealed to Musa bin Imran Aleh salaam-: ‘O Musa, whoever is not pleased with My destiny, is not patient with My trials, is not grateful for My favors. Then come out from the earth and My heavens, and seek a god besides Me.'”

Sabar will lead us to salvation

The Prophet SAW said: Sabar is one of the wills of Allah the Exalted’s will on earth, whoever guards it, he is safe and whoever wastes it, he is in misery.'”

Conclusion

That was the Quran and hadith reference about Sabar and its virtues. May we be one of God’s servants who are always patient in facing every trial and test in life. Amen.
