Prayers for Both Parents

When a child prays for both parents. It is a practice that will never end. Even when the parents are gone. This is in accordance with the words of the Prophet Muhammad SAW:

If a person has died then his deads is cut off except for 3 things. Namely: Sadqa Jariha, useful knowledge and pious children. ”(HR Muslim).

There are several Dua for parents that can be prayed. For example when the parents are still alive or have died. Here are the parents:-

Dua for Parents Who Are Still Living

When you have a parent still by your side, your child will show direct affection for Mom and Dad.

However, there is nothing wrong with teaching him dua for parents from an early age.

In addition to getting used to always praying to Allah SWT for what you do. You can also bring your children closer to daily activities that are worth the reward.

If done early, children will begin to understand according to their development .

Prayers for both parents who are still alive is as under:-

اَللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيْ وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَارْحَمْهُمَاكَمَارَبَّيَانِيْ صَغِيْرَا

Allahumma Gafirlee Wa Liwaa Lidhayya Warham Humaa Kamaa Rabbayaa Nii Shaghiraa.”

Meaning

“O God, forgive all my sins and the sins of both parents, and have mercy on them both as they had mercy on me when I was a child.”

Prayers for Parents who are Sick

Seeing parents lying sick, every child must feel sad. In addition to caring for him, we must also always pray for him to be given a speedy recovery.

The following is a arabic and Latin reading of a dua for parents who are sick:

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ وَاشْفِه وأَنْتَ الشَّافِي لاَ شِفَآءَ إِلاَّ شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

“Allahumma robbannaasi adzhibil ba’sa wasy fihu, wa antas syaafi, laa syifaa-a illa syfaauka, syifaan laa yughaadiru saqaama.”

Translation

O Allah, Lord of Mankind and the universe. Remove the hardship and give him healing, You are the Most Healing Being.

There is no healing except healing from You. A healing that leaves no other disease behind.

Prayers for Both Parents Who Are Seriously Sick

Praying for parents who are sick is a common thing for a child.

Praying can be said as a way of interacting with Allah. Wqhere the disease is not solely given except with Allah’s permission.

اللَّهُمَّ اَحْيِنِي مَاكَا نَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرً الِّى وَتَوَ فَّنِى مَاكَا نَتْ الوَ فَاةُ خَيْرًا لِى

Allahumma ahyini maa kaa natil khayatu khairalli, watawaf fanni adza kaanat aafaatu khiralli”

Meaning

O Allah, Heal his illness if it is better for him. And take away his life if death is better for him.”

Dua for Parents Who Have Died

This is a service that can be done. Because it is no longer able to give happiness to parents.

If one or both parents are gone. Then what can make him happy is to be a pious child and always pray.

Dua for parents who have died is as under:-

ا للّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ وَاَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّع مَدْخَلَهُ وَاغْسِلْهُ بِلْمَاءِ وَالشَّلْجِ وَالْبَرْدِ وَنَقِّهِ مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْاَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّ نَسِ وَاَبْدِلْهُ دَارً اخَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ وَاَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ اَهْلِهِ وَزَوْجًا خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ وَادْخِلْهُ الجَنَّةَ وَاعِذْهُ مِنْ عَدَابِ الْقَبرِ وَفِتْنَتِهِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ

“ Allahummaghfir Lahu Warhamhu Wa ‘Aafihi Aa’fu ‘anhu Wa Akrim Nuzulahu Wa Wassi’ Madkhalahu, Waghsilhu Bil Maa i Wats-tsalji Walbarodi Wa Naqqihii Minal khathaa Ya Kamaa Yunaqqats-Tsawbul Abyadhu Minad Danas.

Wa Abdilhu Daaran khairan Min Daarihii Wa Ahlan Khairan Min Ahlihii Wa Zawjan Khairan Min Zawjihi, Wa Adkhilhul Jannata Wa A ‘Idzhu Min ‘Adzaabil Qobri Wa Fitnatihi Wa Min ‘Adzaabin Naar.”

Translation

O God, forgive and have mercy, release, my both parents.

And glorify his abode, widen the entrance, cleanse both parents with clear and cold water.

Also clean both parents from all faults like a white shirt clean from dirt.

And replace his abode with a better abode than the one he left, and a better family, than the one he left as well.

Admit both parents to heaven. And protect them from the torment of the grave and their slander. And the torment of the fire of hell. 

Dua for Forgiveness for Both Parents

This prayer can always be said. So that Allah SWT eases the burden on parents by removing their sins.

Because, a child whose prayers are pious are always heard by Allah SWT.

Apart from that, Rasulullah SAW ordered to be devoted to the elderly even though they are gone.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“A man came (to Rasulullah saw) and he asked: ‘O Rasulullah, is there still any good that I can do for my parents after his death?’ The Messenger of Allah replied:

‘Yes. That is, praying (for their corpses), asking God for forgiveness, fulfilling their promises, glorifying their friends, and always socializing with people who are related to them (both parents) ‘. ” (HR Abu Daud).

The following is a dua for forgiveness for both parents:

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ الأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَالأَمْوَاتِ مِنْ مَشَارِقِ الْاَرْضِ إِلَى مَغَارِبِهَا بَرِّهَا وَبَحْرِهَا، خُصُوْصًا إِلَى آبَاءِنَا وَاُمَّهَاتِنَا وَأَجْدَادِنَا وَجَدَّاتِنَا وَأَسَاتِذَتِنَا وَمُعَلِّمِيْنَا وَلِمَنْ أَحْسَنَ إِلَيْنَا وَلِأَصْحَابِ الحُقُوْقِ عَلَيْنَا

Translation

O Allah, grant me forgiveness for my sins and the sins of both parents. And have mercy on them both as they both treated me when I was a child.

As well as to all Muslims and Muslim women all the believers, men and women living and dead. And join us and them in kindness.

O Allah, have mercy and have mercy. Because You are the most merciful Allah. And there is no power and effort except with Your help.
